I think you've missed the point of the post, which is pointing out the irony of people getting upset when the government does exactly what they wanted.

Under the house bill, you can keep your current coverage as long as it meets Federal standards. If not, you lose it, and you will be forced into the government run insuarance exchange program (where your abortion would not be covered).

You are not allowed to change your insurance plan. So if you get a new job or start your own company, you will go into the government run exchange.

The exchange will be heavily subsidised, thus making it more difficult for your current insurer to compete. Your current insurer will also face additional costs to comply with new government requirements on what they can charge and what they must cover.

There are huge implications of the fines charged to companies who do not pay for 72% of the cost of their employees coverage; the main issue is the fines/penalties will cost less than buying insurance, thus putting those employees in the, you guessed it, government run exchange.

I, like you, plan on keeping my insurance private, but I have the means to do so. Most people don't. The long term result of this bill would be the elimination of all insurance that isn't part of the exchange.

Okay, so you think that the House bill is a government takeover of all of our healthcare? How does that square with what the bill actually says? As far as I've heard it doesn't put forward a single payer system. Which means it doesn't take over MY healthcare, at least. I like my private plan very much and was planning on keeping it private... if there's something in the bill that will take it over, I'd appreciate it if you could quote me chapter and verse. Because that WOULD be a matter of concern, and I'd want to know.

When you say "these folks want the government to take control of their (and your, and my) healthcare", which folks are you talking about in particular?

Surely you aren't speaking sloppily, acting as if anyone who supports reform such as a public option are in fact supporting a single payer system?
