Picks, Week 5

Since I did so well last week, I’ll give it one more shot. These are point spreads as of Tuesday AM.

Browns (+6) at Bills

This is the game the Browns win, and the Bills fall completely apart.

Steelers (-11) at Lions

The only way the Steelers don’t cover is if they leave at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Cowboys at Chiefs (+9)

This is the contrarian pick of the week.  I think the Cowboys are inconsistent, moody, and poorly coached, and I think this week they are ill prepared.

Vikings at Rams (even)

The line on this is even, which I think is wrong, but whatever.  I’m picking the Rams to put the Vikings in their place.  Boller has a breakout game.

Raiders (+17) at Giants

Giants crush the Raiders, but not by 17 points.

Buccaneers at Eagles (even)

Eagles are coming off a bye week, the Bucs just lost to the Redskins.  I think the Eagles can take ’em.

Redskins at Panthers (-4)

I figure I’ll come out ahead picking against the ‘Skins each week.  They are an 0-4 team with a 2-2 record.

Bengals (+9) at Ravens

Man, I don’t know about this one.  The Ravens should win, and win handily, but they sometimes have a letdown game against the Bengals or the Browns.  I’ll pick them to win, but not by 9.  I hope I’m wrong.

Falcons at 49ers (-3)

I think this is going to be a good game, I’m giving the edge to the team that won 35-0 last week.  49ers by 7

Jaguars at Seahawks (even)

I’ll take the home team to win, but it’s a guess.

Texans (+6) at Cardinals

I think the Texans can win on any Sunday, but I think they’ll lose a close game to the fresh Cardinals.

Patriots (-4) at Broncos

I think the Broncos show us they are the team we expected to see this year, and lose big to the Patriots.

Indy at Titans (+5)

This game makes me nervous.  The Titans are better than their 0-4 record… but Indy might be better than their 4-0 record.  They seriously look unbeatable.  But the Titans are due, and they are at home, so I’ll go with them to win

Jets (-2) at Dolphins

Rex Ryan defense against backup quarterback?  I don’t think this is going to be pretty.
