For the second game in a row, the Ravens look like contenders. They simply whipped the Bears, with the only real letdown of the game on special teams with the punt returned for a TD. Other than that, they played shutout defense and solid offense.
It’s good to see two games in a row where Troy Smith comes in to play the 4th quarter. I liked seeing a bit of the ‘Suggs’ package, too.
Worst news of the game – losing Lardarius Webb; word is the knee injury is going to end his season. The kid is the real deal, and he’s going to be a star on this team. That’s a loss they couldn’t afford, and they’ll need some guys to step up big to fill in.
The playoff picture looks good, with the Dolphins, Jets, and Broncos all losing, the Ravens could end up a 5 seed. And, given the Bengals are still the Bengals, it’s possible the Ravens could win the division. One game at a time, though; the Steelers on Sunday is the biggest game of the year.
