Best Moment

So, I think the Espy awards are a little silly. Not my thing, and no, I didn’t watch.

However, I have to give them some credit for Landon Donovan winning the “Best Moment” award for the goal against Algeria to win their group.

I think I mentioned this before:  that goal was the best sports moment I’ve witnessed in my 40 years, and elicited the most emotional response from me to any sporting event.  It’s why we watch sports, and it’s why the World Cup is the greatest sports event on the planet.
