Alas, President Obama, like most of his supporters, believe history started in 2008. So he’s proposed making it easier for people who can’t afford mortgages to get them.

Telling Example of Arrogance
I don”t think I’ve seen a more telling example of the arrogance of the Obama Administration (and, frankly, of the statist elite in general.)
When informed about the Israeli decision, Obama, who has a famously contentious relationship with the prime minister, didn’t even bother getting angry. He told several people that this sort of behavior on Netanyahu’s part is what he has come to expect, and he suggested that he has become inured to what he sees as self-defeating policies of his Israeli counterpart.
In the weeks after the UN vote, Obama said privately and repeatedly, “Israel doesn’t know what its own best interests are.”
This is the same attitude they have about you. You don’t know your own best interests, so you need them to tell you what they are. You are not responsible enough to own a firearm. You are not responsible enough to decide what kind of light bulb to use. You are not responsible enough to choose a non-smoking bar. You are not responsible enough to pick your own car. You are not responsible enough to choose your own health care.
Israel isn’t responsible enough to run their own country.
Simple Questions
But questions very few Obama supporters want to address:
Why didn’t Obama implement his plan to fix the mess he inherited (ignore for a moment that he spent a lot of time, energy, and money trying to get the job) when the Democrats had control of the House and Senate?
How is his failure to implement his plan anything other than a clear failure of his leadership?
Why do you think he will be any better now?

There is no room for idolatry in a free country
Excellent comparison of the worship of Joe Paterno and the worship of The Greatest President of All Time.
When people by in to a legend, they become incapable of seeing the truth. Anything which could shatter the legend is willfully ignored. Not just because it would destroy the legend itself, but also because it would mean the person’s investment into said legend would have been false from the beginning.
This is so obvious among Obama supporters. Not one can answer this question. None hold him accountable for essentially being the third term of the Bush presidency. None hold him accountable for the economy.
They call his position on gay marriage “evolved”. It is the exact same position held by the one true evil, Dick Cheney, while he was Vice President.
He can do no wrong in their eyes.
That’s really, really dangerous.
An Illustration
The difference between me, a Director level leader in a global corporation, and a Leftist government worker.
Me: Someone who works for me does something really, really stupid, perhaps even illegal. I take responsibility and am rightly held accountable. I’m responsible even if I didn’t know about it, but if it’s a big project involving lots of people and money, I probably did.
Leftist Government Worker, represented in this example by our Dear Leader, the Greatest President of All Time:
Well I heard about it from the news reports. This is not something we were aware of in the White House and the Attorney General it turns out wasn’t aware of either. Obviously Eric Holder has launched a full investigation of this, it is not acceptable for us to allow guns to go into Mexico. Our whole goal has been to interdict aggressively in the flow of weapons and cash flowing south into Mexico because the Mexican president, President Calderon, has done a heroic job of trying to take on these transnational drug cartels. So this investigation will be complete, people who have screwed up will be held accountable but our overarching goal consistently has been to say we’ve got a responsibility not only to stop drugs from flowing north, we’ve also got a responsibility to make sure we are not helping to either arm or finance these drug cartels in Mexico. So it’s very upsetting to me to think that somebody showed such bad judgment that they would allow something like that to happen and we will find out who and what happened in this situation and make sure it gets corrected.
He heard about it from the news? I would (rightly, by the way) lose my job on the spot if I said something that stupid, true or not.
Oh, and I’m pretty sure if my global corporation was involved in something this big/illegal/immoral they wouldn’t cut it from the televised interview with the CEO.

But Democrats in Congress and in The Obama Administration lied to you about the costs and supposed deficit reduction of the glorious health care reform plan.
Even as leading Democrats offered assurances to the contrary, government experts repeatedly warned that a new long-term care insurance plan could go belly up, saddling taxpayers with another underfunded benefit program, according to emails disclosed by congressional investigators.
Part of President Barack Obama’s health care law, the program is in limbo as a congressional debt panel searches for budget savings and behind the scenes, administration officials scramble to find a viable financing formula.
A longstanding priority of the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports program, or CLASS, was spliced into the health care law despite nagging budget worries. Administration emails and documents reveal that alarms were sounded earlier and more widely than previously thought. Congressional Republicans seeking repeal of the program provided the materials to The Associated Press.

The Administration thinks you’ll buy it. They are getting good at this lying thing.
The President is responsible for what his staff does. I’ve never seen more buck passing so quickly in my life. And I keep seeing this intimidation theme out of this Administration.
These folks really aren’t ready for prime time.
