No one is ever ready.

Every day there’s another story telling me I have 18 months before I’m obsolete, AI is going to eat my lunch, and if I’m not hustling to keep up I’ll be left behind forever.

I have news for you. Nobody is ever truly ready for what’s coming. Not me, not you, not anyone. And spending your life in a constant panic trying to get ahead of the next wave isn’t a strategy. It’s just exhausting.

Take a breath, accept that uncertainty is just the way life is, and then focus on doing work that feels alive and genuine. Tools like AI? Sure, use them when they’re useful. But don’t let the hype merchants make you feel like you’re falling into the abyss.

I’ve weathered dozens (hundreds?) of things that were supposed to end my career. So have you.
